WE HAVE A WINNER!! The correct answer was.... "Pickmans Model" by H.P. Lovecraft.
I´m adapting a short-story to comic-book form, and since I in this post promised whoever guesses the story will get a nice brush and ink drawing based on the story, I thought I´d make something of a half-proper contest out of it. So if anyone manages to guess the short-story, without googling the dialogue, shout out and I´ll send you a drawing in a couple of weeks time(The drawing isn´t finished yet, you see). I´m counting on your honesty and my psychic abilities, so don´t try to cheat.
Rart...
And then... as an addendum... Since this is a largely talking-head-comic, and I´ve chosen to for the first time experiment with drawing on top of photographies for the main character, and since I´m the only model I have around right now.... I have to wear a mustache now. There´s some images from the photosession uploaded to my facebook-account, but none of how I actually go around looking right now. So I decided to upload one image here. And yes, people smile at me much more these days. Weird...

Hmmmm...
It´s not Turn the Screw, but I do think we have a winner. You just need to provide the correct title.
And I picked it because it´s one of the least spuernatural stories of Lovecraft, it´s about art, and it´s all in dialogue-format(Or actually monologue, since the other voice is just implied). And I actually do think it will become a decent comic. At least it´s worth a shot.
Oh, and I mostly picked it because Lovecraft-comics are usually really god dmaned awfull, so the competition isn´t that hard... ;)
Dick Lovecraft? Jeg skal bli Love Dickcraft. Ingen anelse om hvilken novelle.
oops I just deleted my last comment...I meant to edit it to say that after googling turn of the screw I realized it was wrong....but i deleted it....my comment guessed that it seemed like an HP Lovecraft but that you don't usually do supernatural stuff...
so maybe a robert pickman...hmmmm
Love Dickcraft er heller ikke ille, nei. Craft Lovedick?
(PS! Satan så mye stavefeil i kommentarene mine i dag)
Jimmy... Do you often delete your guesses if you find out they´re wrong? Is it to avoid ridicule and taunting by mean guys on the internets, Jimmy-Joe?
But.... anyhow... Robert Pickman isn´t the correct title. Give us the correct title, Jimmy-Joe, and I´ll send you a nice, nice drawing as soon as it´s done.
I just found it you Dick Loveshaft!
Pickman's Model....Richard Upton Pickman, the super weird artist guy.
and YEP i do tend to avoid ridicule...turn of the screw wasn't even written in the right century...how dumb!
just for some trivia (since i have this cool annotated lovecraft book):
Pickman is an old Salem name. Nathaniel Pickman (c.1615-85), a native of Bristol, England, settled there in 1639. AJohn Upton purchased land in Salem in 1658.
Congratulations! You are a winner! And winners don´t get ridicule, they get..... beat up for being so damned obnoxious! Grrrr....
(Oh, and they get a drawing too. Of which I´ll post some updates on here on the blog until it´s sent. Today it´s out to buy nice paper for the drawing, since the ones I had were either too rough or too smooth. I´m kind of like Goldielocks that way)
Oh, and thanks for the Trivia. I guess those famillies are cursing Lovecrat for slandering their name.
Lovecrat?
I really wrote Lovecrat?
"I´m kind of like Goldielocks that way"
Not just in that way, my sweet little man ;-)
Tihi-hihi... You big flirtatious bear, you....
funny you say that....You always reminded me Goldielocks, especially with that mustache.
what do you mean obnoxious?
btw you could have deleted your misspelling...I once knew a guy who did that...But that was the start of the path from human to not quite human, almost dog like...that is the risk you take by deleting...etiher that or taunting by meanie blogger guys...Do you like dogs?
Stine
Jim: I like dogs once in a while, but I prefer a good broiled human infant in a béchamel sauce... hmmm...
mmmm...must be very tender with the béchamel sauce...Personally I prefer Alfredo sauce...but you know us Dagoes always adding parmesan to everything!
I´m no sauce-nazi, and love a touch of parmesan.
You know, variety is the spice of life, just like spice is the spice of food, and spice, or in this case: cheese, can add variety to food.
So I say go for it! The most important thing is that we eat up all the infants before they take over the world!
A Modest Proposal: For Preventing the Children of Poor People in Ireland from Being a Burden to Their Parents or Country, and for Making Them Beneficial to the Public, by Jonathan Swift (1700s)--
If you haven't read it, read it and you will laugh while you eat the babies of the world.
Quick there's an infant coming at you from the left! Get your parmesan loaded!
Will read. Always good to have something interesting to read while eating lunch. Yummy, yummy, babies tummy.
It's one of my personal favourites. Kiddedinner! Yum!
Yup.
Men...
Hmmm..
